Our Summer!

School is starting in one week and I can hardly believe that summer is over. Part of me is looking forward to school again and the schedule that it brings, but I am also going to miss having Luke at home, and I know Isaac will too.

But since summer is winding down, here is a look back at what we've been up too.

Luke lost his second tooth. He doesn't like the loose tooth feeling and can't wait for it to be loose enough for Daddy to yank it out.

The kids have been into sidewalk chalk a lot this summer. They told me they were making our house look prettier.

They also have had lots of fun with our neighbor's under the porch they are decorating. They will turn it into a dog house, a club house, and once it was a jail.

We have had some fun Family Home Evening Lessons.

Isaac has recently starting waking up about a half hour before he used to. Sometimes he will get into our bed, but a few times I've found him asleep on the couch and one morning asleep right outside our door.

We have done a few craft projects.

This one went over really well. They had lots of fun painting a road for their cars.

This is a typical Isaac expression!

More crafts...

The main thing we have done this summer is swim. It has been a very hot and humid summer this year, and most days the only thing you can do to get out of the house is swim.

Both boys have become quite good little swimmers. Isaac has particularly improved. For the first few weeks of summer he wouldn't even go underwater. Now he can swim across the pool and is good at treading water where he can't touch.

While at home we've had some dart wars...

And played dress up. I had to put this picture in! Have you seen anything cuter that this super hero cowboy?

The boys also played tee ball/coach pitch this summer.

They both enjoyed it. Luke says it is his favorite sport!

So that pretty much sums up our summer. It went by so fast!
