Merry Christmas Everyone!

We had a wonderful WHITE Christmas, with my sister visiting, good friends, and the wonderful blessing of THREE healthy boys. We couldn't ask for more!

Christmas Eve pj's...

Best (early) present ever!

Here is the before...

Every year I say I'm going to hold back and every year we go a bit nuts. This time we went a bit nuts in Disney World. We got a good deal on the bikes though.

Here is the during...

And here is the after...

Then we went out and played in the snow!

We are so glad Aunt Kimmy can visit us!

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Disney World ROCKS!

We had an awesome time in Disney World! We took hundreds of pictures, so we won't bore you with them all, but here are some of our favorites.

We can't wait to go back! I am already planning our next trip!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

2010 has been a very eventful year for the our family!

Our biggest news is the addition of Andrew Roy Erickson to our family. As many of you know we had been trying to adopt a baby for about a year. On September 10th we got an email from an amazing young woman from Georgia who had selected us to adopt her baby. Less than two weeks later we got a call saying that her water had broken and to get to Georgia as fast as we could. We rushed there and were able to spend some time in the hospital with Andrew’s birth mother while we waited to see when Andrew would make his appearance. It was wonderful to get to know her and we truly grew to love her. On September 28th at 5:15 am, Andrew decided to show his adorable face. We were able to be in the room for the birth, and it was amazing. We instantly fell in love with this sweet little boy and are so happy to welcome him into our family. Despite being born more than 5 weeks early, Andrew did remarkably well, only spending one week in the NICU. We were so happy to finally be able to bring him home and Luke and Isaac have been wonderful with him. They love having a little brother! We can hardly wait to take Andrew to the temple and have him sealed to our family.

Isaac turned 4 in February and started preschool this year. He has loved it so far! He had fun playing tee ball and became quite a good swimmer this summer. He loves playing with his friends and rough housing with his Dad. He also loves dogs and is trying to wear his parents down to get him one!

Luke turned 6 this past May and started 1st grade in the fall. He loves to read, and is excelling in math. We are so proud of him and how much he has grown this year. He played coach’s pitch baseball this year and has decided that baseball is his favorite sport. He also loves to swim, build things, and ride his bike.

Jen keeps herself busy with her calling in the Primary and her various hobbies, but her kids keep her the busiest! She loves being the mother of 3 handsome boys!

Tyler just finished school at Washington University this month and now has his MBA! We are so proud of him for all his hard work and we are looking forward to having him home more often. To celebrate his accomplishment, we went to Disney World the week before Christmas!

We feel blessed beyond measure this year and hope that this holiday season finds you all happy as well! We are so grateful for this season to celebrate the birth of the Savior and remember that all blessings come from Him!

Merry Christmas!

Love,

The Erickson Family

Tyler, Jen, Luke, Isaac, and Andrew

So Halloween was a month ago, and finally here are some pictures of the boys! We went trick or treating at the ward party and then truck or treating at Isaac's preschool.

Luke likes to be sacry things. Isaac really likes dogs, esp. Bolt. This was his second year being Bolt. Andrew is just cute! He did have a little Halloween shirt on.

Love the leaves, hate raking them up! This year the boys were great helpers this year raking up the leaves. And even though raking them isn't much fun, playing in them sure is!

How cute are these kids!

Isaac recently had a Grandparents Day at his preschool. Since none of his grandparents live within 500 miles of us, I was the stand in Grandparent. For one of the crafts, the kids drew a self portrait of the person that was coming. Since Isaac knew I was coming, he drew me. Here is his picture...
Here is a close up in case you couldn't tell from the first picture. Notice anything? Like the scary look he drew on my face!

I asked him why he drew me like that and he said that is my frustrated face when he does something naughty. I was feeling kind of bad now. Is this the face he associates with me? So I asked him, "Do I make that face a lot?" Luckily he said, "No, mostly you smile." PHEW!

Now some of my cute little Andrew! He is starting to have more awake times during the day. Luke and Isaac get so excited when he is awake!

He still sleeps a lot though! I love his picture with his little shoes and hat! Such a handsome boy!

He just got weighed today and he is up to 9 lbs 4 oz! Only 6 more ounces and he will have doubled his birth weight!

And maybe I will get some Thanksgiving pictures up before Christmas. Maybe. :

One month

Andrew is one month today! Kind of crazy since he isn't even supposed to be born yet! It still amazes me how healthy he is for being born 6 weeks early. What an amazing kid! :)

I have this tradition with all my kids of taking a picture on their month "birthday" with a stuffed animal to show how much they grow in the first year. This elephant is extra special since it was given to Andrew from his birth mother the day he got out of the hospital.

What a CUTIE!!

I wanted to take a picture to compare how much bigger Andrew's big brothers are than him! They look like giants next to him!

They sure LOVE their baby brother!

Look how strong he already is. He has actually rolled over a few times already. We have tried to catch it on video camera, but of course as soon as we pull it out, he won't do it. Luke and Isaac did the same thing. :)

It's been an amazing month!
