F.U.N weekend

We had a FUN weekend. Friday night we had a movie night, which we do often, but this time I set up a concession stand. The boys have been earning Monopoly money for a couple weeks now to use at our concession stand. They have been very excited about it, and I have gotten extra chores out of them. So win-win. They used their money to buy popcorn, soda, and candy, but could get fruit for free. :)

Then today, since the government didn't shut down, we thought we would so something we wouldn't have been able to if they did. We went to the Arch. (That's not really why we went. :) Tyler's been wanting to go for awhile.) We went to the museum under the Arch and then went and played on the grass outside. It was so fun. The boys loved running around and playing with Tyler and Andrew loved being outside, sitting on the grass, trying to eat it. We took tons of pictures, so here are a few! We got some really cool ones, some really silly ones, and some really cute ones!

It was such a fun day. It made up for the "fun" this morning of trying to get the kids to help out in the yard. :)

And tomorrow my cute sister comes! So more fun is in store! Can't wait to see her!

6 months!

6 months already! I know every parent says it, but really, time flies when you have kids. I feel like we just brought him home. So here is what he does at 6 months.
-Eats "solids" He loves peas, carrots, green beans, squash, and just tried applesauce today.
-Rolls from front to back, and half way from back to front.
-Sits up, but still working on perfecting that!
-Makes "raspberries" and lots of other adorable baby noises.
-Laughs. A lot. Especially at his silly brothers, or when you tickle him.
-Plays with his toes.
-Loves to put toys in his mouth.
-Loves having his mommy hold him! :)

It was hard to get a good picture of him today, but I got a few cute ones.

But mostly he kept doing this...

I love this little boy SO much. He was brought so much happiness to our family. He has helped heal my broken heart. I really can't express what he means to me. He is a joy and we are so lucky that he was sent to our home.

Hair Cut

We decided it was time for Andrew's first haircut. It was becoming a bit of a an Afro.

Luke got his first hair cut when he was about 13 months old...to get rid of the mullet.

Isaac got his first haircut at 18 months old...to get rid of the wisps around his ears.

Andrew is 5 months old and needed a haircut all over. He has so much hair!

He did pretty good at first.

The chord kept him occupied for a minute.

Then he started to get fussy. Because it was taking to long. Because he has so much hair!

All done! Handsome boy!

Here he is at five months!
Notice how much smaller the elephant looks than it did when he was one month!

Andrew lately...

Here is what Andrew has been up to lately...

There is not many things cuter than a sleeping baby!

He ate his first "solid" food...He can't decide if he likes it or not!

We've had some really nice weather lately, so we've been enjoying the "great outdoors." Like most kids Andrew loves it outside...except when the wind blows and takes his breath away!

He is getting so strong! He can also roll over one way (front to back) and can sit by himself... for a few seconds at least! And he is getting really good at grabbing toys and putting them in his mouth! :)

It is hard to believe he is almost 5 months old!

Sweet Georgia Boy

While we were in Georgia, we got Andrew this shirt in honor of his birthplace...he finally fits into it. And at the rate he is growing he won't fit in it for long!

Snow Day(s)

So, we are on our 5th snow day in 2 weeks...our 3rd one in a row. We have been trying to fill them up with fun things! Here is what we have done so far...

Had a picnic in the living room...in our pj's...

played with our toys...still in our pjs...

made and played with play dough...still in our pjs...

did some school work...still in our pjs...there were some days we didn't get dressed at all..

made some super capes...finally a day we got dressed!

...played in the snow of course!

did a lot of puzzles...

pretended the couches were cars...

and that we were driving to Utah...

made this cute baby smile...

and humored Mom by posing for pictures. Snow makes for really good indoor lighting...
I think I got some really cute ones. These are my favorite.

Isaac's smile is like that in every single picture I took!

Here is how Luke felt about taking pictures! :)

Andrew was the easiest one to photograph...he is such a happy baby!
I was so sad this one turned out blurry, but I still have to post it...look at the smile!

Luke told me he thinks Andrew is the cutest baby in the whole world...I have to agree! All my kids are cute!

He is so cute I couldn't just pick one favorite...

He likes to stick his tongue out...can you tell? :)

So there's how we spent our snow days!
