Tour our Home!

I think you can learn a lot about someone by seeing their home, so come and have a look at ours!

This is the view from the front door. You walk right into our family room.

The dining room is right off the family room.

Next comes the kitchen.

Here is our master bedroom. And, yes, our bed does get made everyday, but only thanks to Tyler!

This is the boys' room, complete with 2 boys playing. Can you tell I like Mickey Mouse?

Our basement is one half office/craft room...

and one half playroom.

Now to the part I am sure will most interest you... the nursery.

It is freshly painted, ready to decorate either blue and brown, or pink and brown!

Ready for late night feedings...

and many diaper changes!

We can't wait to use this room!

Thanks for taking a look at our home! Hope it helped you get to know us better!

The 4th and Wicked.

Since the 4th was one a Sunday this year it felt like we were celebrating all weekend. We started off by going to a drive in on Friday. It was so fun! We saw Toy Story 3 again, which the kids love and stayed for the second movie, The Karate Kid. Isaac actually made it through the whole 2nd movie, but Luke was conked out by midnight.

We also had a picnic in the park, a BBQ, watched fireworks with friends, and set off our own fireworks.

Here is Tyler shooting off some bottle rockets, which where the kids favorite. Good thing to cuz we had a ton of them.

Luke doing his "snaps."

Isaac watching the bottle rockets.

A bottle rocket in action.

Playing with sparklers. I couldn't get a good picture because they burned out so fast!

But overall it was a really fun 4th!

A few days later Tyler and I went to see Wicked at the Fox theater. It was so awesome! Great music, great show, and even better company. It was a fun date!

So far our July has been pretty awesome!

Missing Tooth

Luke lost his first tooth on Sunday. Since it has been over 20 years since I lost my first tooth, I had forgotten what an exciting event it is for a kid. He couldn't wait for it to fall out so the tooth fairy would come. He only noticed it on Saturday and wiggled it and wiggled it, until he could push it all the way forward. So when Tyler got him from his weekend class he did the honors and yanked it out.

Pulling it out...

New toothless look...

We told him the tooth fairy wouldn't come until he was asleep, and at about 1:30 he woke me up crying. He said, "I haven't fallen asleep yet! She hasn't come yet!" So, I showed him under his pillow the dollars that the tooth fairy had left, and he laughed and went right back to sleep. Then he got out of bed at 6:00 and said "I'm not waking up, but look what the tooth fairy brought." Luckily he went right back to bed then too. But needless to say, he was very excited and we had to made a trip to the dollar store the very next day.

He looks so cute with his new smile!

Trip to Utah in June

So here are some highlights from our trip to Utah. There are a TON of pictures on here and I didn't even get pictures of every thing we did so that shows you how much fun we had!

Luke was at his Grandma and Papa Box's house for his birthday. We celebrated the day by going to Lagoon.

Big six year old boy!

Opening presents...Isaac got some too!

Our traditional Monkey Bread breakfast!

Riding boats at Lagoon, we did the kid rides first because I knew once Luke went on a roller coaster, the kids rides would be too boring for him!

Isaac got a little frustrated his first time on the bumper cars. He kept driving around in circles. We thought it was hilarious because we have some home video of me at Lagoon doing the exact same thing! He figured it out though and we rode it a few more times.

Luke got birthday donuts instead of cake. He LOVES donuts!

Luke's favorite ride at Lagoon was Wicked. Check out that roller coaster! He is my dare devil!

He gave Grandma a big hug after getting off Wicked. All smiles...he has his Dad's thrill seeking genes.

This was Isaac's favorite ride. He must had ridden it at least 3 times. He was the good guy and was catching all the bad guys. Of course. That is what he always does.

When we where with my family we also had a bonfire and cookout up Provo Canyon, went to BYU, and while my mom, sister and I shopped and went to the Parade of Home Papa took the boys to see How to Train your Dragon (they loved it), to McDonald's and to Jumpin' Jacks. The boys also had fun riding bikes and running their kites around the back yard. We had a blast!

After a week and a half with my family, we headed up to Park City for a family reunion. It was so much fun!

Relaxing with my boys in our hotel.

This is the view from our bedroom...GORGEOUS!

We celebrated Luke's birthday again! That's 3 parties! Lucky kid! Sorry about the blurry photo! But the look on his face is great!

Isaac chillin' with Uncle Steve.

We also played kick ball, darts and had some relay races.

Here is how Luke plays darts, he did pretty good.

Here is how Isaac started...

Then he got frustrated that the darts weren't sticking in, so this is how he ended up playing...

Isn't he an amazing dart player? He was probably wondering why we all didn't do it that way!

Whitney won for the girls and overall.

Here she is showing off her trophy.

And Kyle with his. These are going to be passed on each family reunion. At least I think they are! :)

Then I had to distract the boys by playing in the rocks, because they were very disappointed they didn't win trophies. They got over it though, rocks and a nap work wonders on grumpy boys.

Playing with Grandma on the playground. I wish our playground here was this awesome!

We also celebrated Tyler's 31st birthday. It is probably the first time he has been with his whole family on his birthday since his mission.

We also visited the Utah Olympic park. It was cool. Luke and Isaac were really into the Olympics when they were on in Feb. and really enjoyed everything there. We even got to see ski jumpers practicing by jumping into a pool.

Torch bearers!

This was one of the boys most favorite things the whole trip...

The BIG HUGE BATH TUB!

This was their other favorite thing... the swimming pool!

1, 2, 3 ...

CANNONBALL!!

We also had a road rally scavenger hunt. It was fun! There is some debate over who won though... We all think we were the winners!

We had a great time spending time with both of our families, creating fun memories and getting to know them better.

But after three weeks, I was done living out of a suitcase and the boys were getting kind of psycho from the lack of schedule and all the attention they were getting. So it was good to come home too. Here is what we drove through in Wyoming though...

SNOW! In June! We also ran into a massive hail storm. It was freezing. Until we got to St. Louis. Where it is HOT and HUMID! But it is still nice to be home.
